TouchTag is a monitored personal protection alarm that operates
like any normal mobile phone but it contains a built in GPS (satellite
positioning system) and an emergency alarm button. It also includes
a range of optional additional check routines that prompt a lone
worker to confirm that all is well. Failure by the lone worker to
follow these prompts results in an alarm being sent to Tag Guard’s
own 24-hour operating centre. All alarms are logged, with audit
trail and further reports available.
Positioned at the top of the phone is an emergency button which
when pressed sends a coded alarm message and gives its latest recorded
position. This message is received by our 24-hour monitoring centre
and shows the position on detailed street level maps. The lone worker
receives an acknowledgement by return confirming that the emergency
is being dealt with. The control centre immediately activates a
response unit so that assistance can be arranged.

Health & Safety regulations are imposing increasing burdens
on employers to make provision for the wellbeing of their lone workers
and to demonstrate that they are exercising a proper duty of care.
